MY STORY
After eighteen years of marriage, I got divorced.
Not because I stopped loving him.
Because no one ever taught me how.
Seven years later, I came back to the man I truly loved — and finally learned how to be married to him.
With an open heart, here's what I want you to know before we ever speak.
Choosing someone to guide you through your marriage is a gamble — even when a friend tells you how much it helped them. You can read what my clients say about working with me. You still won't know, not really, whether I can help you.
But you should know this about me.
More than my twenty-eight years doing this work. More than my education from DePaul University and the University of Texas at Austin. I know this from the inside — because I nearly lost my own marriage to the exact thing I now help you avoid.
We went to counseling. It didn't work. We divorced.
Seven years passed before I stopped being stubborn and went back to the man I never stopped loving — a man I still didn't know how to be married to.
A few years after we found our way back, I finally asked him the question I'd been afraid to ask.
“Do you think the right guidance could have saved our marriage the first time?”
He didn't hesitate. “Yes.”
That single word changed the rest of my life. If the right guidance could have spared us seven years apart, then that guidance was worth building — for every couple who still has time to ask the question before it's too late.
I don't want you to wander for seven years before you discover what I discovered.
Skill building, not therapy
This is relationship strategist. We focus on practical relationship skills you can learn, practice, and use in your marriage—not on diagnosing or treating a mental-health condition.
Not about who's right
I don't take sides or spend our time deciding who is to blame. We become curious about what is happening between you, what each of you contributes, and what needs to change in the way you relate.
Marriage changes
A changing marriage doesn't automatically mean a failing marriage. Long-term relationships move through different seasons and stages, and sometimes the skills that got you here aren't the skills that will take you forward.
Virtual & private pay
I work virtually with couples across the country. Relationship strategist is private pay; insurance is not accepted for this work.
HOW I WORK
I don't teach you how to change your spouse.
I help you become more skilled at being married. This work is about learning how to communicate when you disagree, ask for what you need, listen without immediately defending yourself, repair what gets hurt, negotiate differences, and stay connected without losing yourself.
Love matters. Skills matter too.
WHY WORK WITH ME
28 Years
helping couples build marriages that last
Trained at DePaul University and the University of Texas at Austin. This isn't therapy — insurance rarely covers what a marriage actually needs, and a license only lets you practice in one state. So I trained as a Relationship Strategist instead: focused, outcome-driven, built to work with couples anywhere in the country, not just the ones near my office.
